Rose on paper

Here's a drawing I did for a fellow artist. This was one of the rare times recently that I've drawn with actual media...something I hope to do with more frequency.

Great seeing real media stuff from you Ted. I really liked the piece you did for the Auction a few months ago as well.

I like it- but I am always a bigger fan of having something on paper than the computer... Great drawing!

Wow, I actually thought that you work the subtle facial gestures and expression by hand, then work them into the computer. You must be really comfortable working in digital medium because your transitions from panel to panel is seamless.

Hopefully, hand drawn material will be available for sale :) BTW, I agree with monkeyfeather in that The pen and ink piece at Mavericks was amazing.

It seems like it's got to be hard to move the style in the comics to actual paper - you get texture on the paper and materials that work differently, but this (and the auction one) really look like Ted stuff. I really like the feel of paper over the computer...

Do you find yourself trying to hit apple-Z when you do a wrong line?
