The Conformist

Here are few stills from an incredibly beautiful looking film, The Conformist, directed by Bernardo Bertolucci and shot by Vittorio Storaro.

The conformist IS an amazing good looking movie. The production design and cinematography are about perfect,I think that the clever use in the movie of all the old italian fascist architectural remains show again that italian set designers are probably the best in the industry.
and JL Trintignant is giving one of his best performance.

... and I found quite interesting to see the Bertolucci's choice for the same parisian sceneries and scenes in the beginning of the movie like in his "last tango in Paris"... here in blue atmosphere, and, in gold atmosphere in this other movie.

Another movie that I never heard of and need to watch. Will add to Netflix.

Did you go the Quai Des Bulles Festival? If so, would like to get the low down.
